
MAJOR CRUISE DISEMBARKATION DAY BLUNDERS TO AVOID
Self-disembarkation

You will need to be able to carry your own bags off with no assistance.
If you have put your bags out to be collected

Remember to leave a change of clothes out to wear the next morning.

Keep a big bag with you incase you leave something behind.
Booking flights too early or too late

Normally the ships dock between 6.30 and 8.30 am.

Aim for a noon or later flight.

Airline check in only opens two hours before a flight so you don’t want your flight too late either.
Disembarkation Time

Don’t accept the disembarkation time if it doesn’t fit in with your plans for the day.

Go to Guest services and have it changed, they are always very helpful.
Check your bill before you leave the ship

You will receive your bill on the last evening.

Make sure it is correct before you leave as it’s very hard to have any corrections made once you leave the ship.
Check your Cabin

Remember to check you cabin that you haven’t missed packing any of your things.

Check the safe.

Leave something in the safe that you will need on the day you leave.

Triple check the draws.
Passports

Sometines the ship holds your passport.

Collect your passport, you don’t want to have to go back for it.
Disembarkation Luggage Tags

Remember what colour your luggage tag is.

You will need to show this when you get off the ship.

Have something on your bag to identify it to you.
Key Cards

Don’t leave it in your cabin.

You will need it to get off the ship.
Lifts
-
Everyone will be trying to get off the ship at the same time.

Avoid the mid ship lifts, go forward or aft.

Go up in the lift, which will be empty and then go down to the floor you want.
Cabin Amenities

While the umbrellas, binoculars, bath robes etc are all lovely, if you take them you will be charged for them.
